In this project, I examined efforts to reduce carbon footprint during flights. The aviation sector's contribution to global carbon emissions is estimated to be around 2 to 3 percent, and carbon emissions from air travel exacerbate climate change. Therefore, I prepared this exemplary project to encourage companies like Pegasus to promote environmental sustainability and leave a cleaner world behind.
Carbon Footprint Offsetting: How Does It Work ?
Through this specific project, you can first calculate the carbon footprint generated by your flights on the website. Then, you have the opportunity to support these projects by choosing your preference among those selected by Pegasus. For example, by choosing projects such as forest conservation or clean energy, you can reduce the environmental impact of your flights. In this way, you neutralize your carbon footprint and travel with zero carbon emissions.

The Calculation Section is a tool where you enter the starting and destination points of your flight, flight number, and date. When you enter this information, the system calculates the estimated carbon emissions, taking into account the distance of your flight and the type of aircraft used. This way, you can determine the carbon footprint generated by your flight.
